Itinerary
Day 1: Coron Island – 3 Dives
We kick off the adventure in the heart of Coron, where our expert Filipino crew welcomes you aboard the newly renovated Navis 1. Start with a relaxed checkout dive on a stunning coral reef. Then, immerse yourself in the surreal Barracuda Lake, a geothermal freshwater marvel encircled by dramatic limestone cliffs, where thermoclines create an otherworldly haze that’s unlike any ocean dive. As night falls, gear up for a night dive on a reef alive with seahorses, nudibranchs, and cuttlefish.
Day 2: WWII Wrecks – 4 Dives
Dive into history on Day 2 as we explore Coron’s famed WWII Japanese Navy shipwrecks, Asia’s premier wreck-diving hotspot. Penetrate the Olympia Maru, a massive freighter cloaked in soft corals and home to schools of jacks; navigate the Kogyo Maru’s cargo holds filled with construction relics and resident lionfish; uncover the Morazan Maru’s eerie engine rooms teeming with macro life; and skim the shallow Lusong Gunboat.
Day 3: Black Island – 3 Dives
Day 3 begins with an early dive at the Okikawa Maru wreck, the biggest and best wreck of all. We then cruise to Black Island for a beach day on one of the prettiest beaches in the entire country. On Black Island you can swim in a hidden cave, hang out on the beach and swim, as well do a couple of dives.
Day 4: Dugongs – 3 Dives
Day 4 we head to Calauit Island, where gentle dugongs await, with over a 95% sighting success rate from past trips. Dive alongside these graceful giants in seagrass meadows for an intimate, once-in-a-lifetime encounter. After which, we explore the pristine reefs of Dimipac Island, and then en route to Apo Reef, we drop in at Colocoto Rocks, a sea mount where pelagics can often be sighted.
Day 5: Apo Reef – 4 Dives
Day 5 we wake up in paradise… Apo Reef. Apo Reef has been protected for over 20 years and is teeming with life. Apo Reef is the largest reef in the Philippines and the diving is truly world class. The visibility is often >30m, and the dive sites contain exquisite coral gardens, towering walls, and sharks galore. Common visitors to Apo Reef include Mantas, Hammerheads, Thresher Sharks, Large Tunas and much more.
Day 6: Apo Reef – 2 Dives
Day 6 gives us two more epic dives at Apo Reef, followed by an island visit. As we set sail back to Coron, the fun ramps up with live music and our legendary karaoke party, where guests and crew belt out tunes under the stars. It’s the ideal wind-down, blending reflection on the week’s dives with pure, joyful camaraderie.
Day 7: Coron Homecoming
After a leisurely breakfast, disembark in Coron with a heart full of memories and a camera full of highlights. Extend your Palawan adventure or head home—either way, you’ve just experienced the most varied, fun-filled dive safari in the Philippines.
